Bond Yield & Income Calculator
Enter numbers from a broker quote or Treasury auction result. This tool estimates current yield, coupon income, premium/discount, and a rough rate-shock price move using duration. It is not a full yield-to-maturity solver and ignores taxes, fees, and call features.

Formula: Current yield = (face × coupon%) ÷ market price.
- Current yield = annual coupon ÷ market price. It ignores pull-to-par and reinvestment.
- It is not yield to maturity (YTM). Use YTM when comparing bonds with different prices and maturities.
- Bond trades at a discount to face — current yield is above the coupon rate.
